Click on the person's name you want to PM. That takes you to their profile page where there is a link to click on, for sending him/her a personal message...

You may have "deleted" the account, but the info is still in the system and it is not gonna let you use the addy for a new account.

If you still have your original confirmation e-mail, try clicking on the activation link supplied within...If that won't work for you, then just get a new e-mail account, and start a new account
