question for you about the mods.

what if they all ignore the same user?

would there be any moderation of those users?

I see no more need for mods then. Its upon each person to ignore some ones post that they find 'offensive'. Now they have no excuse to whine and complain that some one hurt their e-feelings. 

I don't think the mods should use the ignore feature. If someone feels the need to bypass users, then that person probably shouldn't be a Mod. It sort of goes against the objectivity thing a Mod needs to have as a trait. From a practical standpoint, Mods need to be able to see what is being posted in order to fulfill their role.

since users can now hide comments from users, can you do away with the flag comment feature? seems redundant

Mods needs to be removed.
users should be able to ignore against each other or flag agaisnt each other, or vote to put someone in the ice box, or vote delete comments.

it should be up to the community . 

it shall not be up to ONE person, but to the entire community to regulate itself.
